Taiwan-headquartered manufacturer TwinMos Technologies Inc is looking for

distributors in India. All set to make its presence felt in the India market,

last month the com-pany opened its India sales office at Delhi's Nehru Place

and is busy finalising its set of national, regional distributors and authorized

channel net-work. Beginning with its range of memory modules compri-sing over

2000 products the company is readying itself to launch its latest in innovation

in a phased manner over next one year. "Maybe sooner depending on the

response in India," stated Mohd. Mazharul Islam, the company's Mana-ging

Director for Middle East, Asia and Africa. Islam is currently camping in Delhi

office putting in place its staff and systems. "We will be recr-uiting a

team of 10 headed by a General Manager for our Delhi office," he informed.

The company will be setting up its service centers across Indian metros to

service its products. Its range of product includes digital media business

solu-tions comprising all kinds of memories, network devices and secondary

storage. "In India we will be looking at volumes and are working out a

aggressive pricing strategy," said Islam. The market for memories itself in

India is huge. "We are looking at good volumes. According to our

projections, in memories we should be doing about one million pieces in two

years which is hardly 30 percent of the market size in India," said Islam.

He added, that besides memories the company would make available its latest in

gadgets in India for which the India prices are being worked out. He has high

hopes on its range of devices. It includes products such as a four-in-one that

boasts of an MP3 player, FM radio, voice recorder and storage with 512 MB

capacity — all in one tiny device.
