TAITRA showcases Taiwan’s Green Technology in Mumbai

Aiming to promote Green Technology in India, Taiwan External Trade Development Council in association with the Bureau of Foreign Trade, MOEA, and Taiwan Green Trade Project Office (GTPO) has organised a “Taiwan Green Products Pavilion”expo in Mumbai. The five day exhibition organised from 17th to 21st June, 2015 will showcase Eco friendly offerings by Taiwanese manufacturers.

Talking to the DQ Week at the inaugural function, Emma Yang, Director of Taipei World Trade Center said that the pavilion aimed at spreading the message to serve nature before human benefits. She said that the objective of this exhibition was to create awareness among consumers about the Eco friendly technology and encourage Indian traders and distributors to invest in this booming segment.

“Not only India but the entire world is recognising the importance of Green Technology. India is a huge market for us to promote Taiwanese Eco friendly technologies. This expo will help us the Taiwanese manufactures to promote their offerings in Mumbai”, Yang said.

Total 11 Taiwanese manufacturers have exhibited consumer durable products like electronic foldable scooter, solar powered USB charger LED lights etc. Yang said that the Taiwan Trade Center is trying to pitch the Maharashtra MIDC to promote India- Taiwan trade. She said that the Center would be organising such kind of exhibitions in other region in India.

Taiwan Trade Center Liaison Office in Mumbai has joined hands with Federation of All India IT Associations (FAIITA) to promote the Taiwanese products among Indian customers. FAITA and Computer Association of Taiwan have announced to enter into a strategic partnership.

“FAIITA and Computer Association of Taiwan will sign MoU to promote trade between both the countries on 6th July in Mumbai. This strategic partnership will help both the countries to strengthen the business relations”, said Champakraj Gurjar, president of FAIITA.

“We need channel to support our products and technologies and take it to the end users. FAITA will be instrumental in providing a business platform to Taiwanese vendors”, said Yang.

The expo organised in the Inorbit mall at Malad is free for all customers and expected to get good response from visitors.
