Mumbai based leading channel partners association, Trader's Association of Information & Technology (TAIT) recently conducted a workshop on cloud computing primarily focusing on offerings from Microsoft. The event was held in association with Microsoft and Techgyan, a cloud computing solution provider to small and mid-sized Indian and international customers.
The primary agenda was to educate the partner community on the cloud platform and available software as a service solution. The keynote speakers were Suresh Ramani, CEO, Techgyan and Rajnish Malik, BDM, online services cloud, Microsoft India.
The event was attended by about 40 channel partners. Ramani showcased in detail the Microsoft offering through Office 365 and also presented a live demo with regards to Microsoft solutions. Ramani said, "Cloud is definitely the future for SMBs and SMEs but definitely it is not going to be purely cloud based. It is going to be a mixed bag or a hybrid model. But there are significant opportunities for partners in this space and this is the time to catch the train to earn the maximum out of this business model."
Following this, Malik presented the opportunities in cloud as a service business model in detail, while explaining the strengths and benefits of doing business with Microsoft. Malik said, "We have a wide gamut of offerings and today we offer the most competitive prices and margins to the partners."
Commenting on the event, Champakraj Gurjar of TAIT said, "There is a huge business opportunity in the cloud space. To educate and inform our channel partners, we will be definitely conducting more such events in future."
