TAIT elects new committee

Mumbai based Trade Association of Information Technology (TAIT) recently concluded its annual general meeting and has appointed a new committee. In addition, the association is gearing up for its sixth COM IT Expo starting from November 14-17, 2013, at the Bombay Exhibition Center, Mumbai.

Mumbai based Trade Association of Information Technology (TAIT) recently concluded its annual general meeting and  has appointed a new committee. In addition, the association is gearing up for its sixth COM IT Expo starting from November 14-17, 2013, at the Bombay Exhibition Center, Mumbai.

Rushabh Shah, spokesperson of TAIT said, "We will continue with the transformation process which we had initiated last year. In addition, we are planning to roll out several innovative events on regular intervals."  He further added, "BIS compliance is our top priority and we are intending to gear up our activities to save channel partners' interests. Also, another area which we intend to address is the strong competition and challenges partners are facing from online sales."

Parag Shah, Futech Computers, was elected as the president while KR Chaube of Techlink Infoware was elected as vice president. Vivek Gandhi of Software Mart was elected as general secretary and Rushabh Shah of Graham Information Systems as treasurer who will also act as media spokesperson and chariman events.

In addition to this, other committee members include Champak Raj Gurjar of Maxtone Electronics; Bimal Jhaveri of Hardtrack Computers; Vikram Mehta of Techmatrix Infotech; Samir Mehta of Computer Corner and Vinod Vanigota of Chipcom Traders as directors, and Chetan Timbadia of DC Infotech; Mukesh Mehta  of Orno Computers and Peripherals and Magan Gangani of Newtrack Computers as Co-Opted directors.

Shah said, "TAIT will continue with the revamp and will forge new alliances. We are now all geared up for the coming sixth COM IT Expo starting Nov 14th."

COM IT Expo will host various technology and product zones like hardware zone has a separate section for tablets and a separate anti-virus section in the software zone. Apart from this, the expo will also have a Taiwan Pavilion, hosted by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), which will showcase various companies from Taiwan's ICT industry.
