Mumbai-based Trade Association of Information Technology (TAIT) has announced
the dates of its annual expo-COM-IT. It would be held from November 20-23, 2008
at the MMRDA Exhibition Grounds, Bandra-Kurla Complex.
Umang Mehta, Spokesperson, TAIT has been appointed as Chairman of the expo.
He would be the in-charge of all marketing activities.
The association has already released the hall plan for the expo. Apart from
partners and vendors across India, various foreign companies too have shown
interest in participating at the expo.
“We have appointed agents in foreign countries to invite companies there to
participate in COM-IT 2008,” said Chetan Shah, Secretary, TAIT.

Divulging additional details about the expo, Anees Khalfay, President, TAIT
said, “COM-IT is India's largest annual international exhibition and conference
on computers, IT products and services. Preparations for this year's expo are in
full swing. A lot of foreign participants are expected to showcase their
offerings at COM-IT 2008. Mehta visited the on going Computex 2008 in Taiwan to
invite foreign companies to participate in the expo. Few have already booked
their stalls.”
As of now, sponsors for the event have not been decided. “A lot of vendors
have shown interest in sponsoring COM-IT 2008. Most probably a printer
manufacturer would be the sponsor for this year expo,” divulged Khalfay.
