TAIT announces new committee

A premier IT trade association of Mumbai, Trade Association of Information Technology (TAIT) conducted its Annual General Meeting (AGM) towards the end of last quarter. The primary agenda was to appoint the new committee and board members. Apart from this, the association members discussed the industry trends and upcoming events.

Commenting on this, Rushabh Shah, TAIT's official spokesperson said, "We have formed several committees and sub-committees to assist our channel engagement activities ahead. The general emphasis is on expanding TAIT member base and our annual COMIT event." Post the AGM for the period of FY11, TAIT has announced the names of office bearers. While Champakraj Gurjar of Maxtone will be the president of TAIT, Rushab Shah of Graham Information has been chosen as VP. Other offi ce bearers include Vikram Mehta of VR Infotech as general secretary, Pravin Dhoka of Ortek Computers as treasurer, and CW Kadwadkar as executive secretary. Board of Directors includes Prakash Shah of Allied Digital Services, Bimal Jhaveri of Hardtrack Computer Services, Parag Shah of Sutech Computers, Vicki Gandhi of SoftMart, and Sameer Parekh of Brain Point Computer Consultancy. In addition, Chaube of Techlink, Nikesh of CDP, and Satish of Bitsy have been brought on board as co-opted directors. In the line of festive season, just before Diwali, TAIT has organized a major channel engagement event for its members. This event held on October 23, 2011 is called 'The TAIT Extravaganza 2011.' This pre-Diwali event intends to bring together the entire member community under one roof and create a massive networking environment. Furthermore, the association has organized games and entertainment programs for family members. This will be followed by a DJ Musical party and dinner. This is one of the most sought-after event by channel partners as there are a few occasions for this community to come together in one place. TAIT has conducted such events since last couple of years and every year the turnout has only improved. Commenting on this, Shah said, "We organize such events to bring together our partner community. We are a big family and every family deserves fun and frolic. Through such events we create an environment for fun and networking."

There are couple of vendors who have associated with this TAIT's Diwali event, which include companies like AMD as gold sponsor, while Asus, Belkin, Comguard, eScan, Eset, and HP are the associate sponsors. This event is organized at Surya Mahal, SRPF, Jogeshwari, Mumbai.
