"Software processes and quality certifications are not adequate in isolation, but they need to match the needs of the organization and its customers for agility" This was the mantra that emerged out of the debate that ensued at the SPIN Signature program in
Pune.

Participating CEO's of Pune's software companies included Anand Deshpande Founder & CEO, Persistent Systems Pvt Ltd, Tarun Malaviya, Founder & CEO Mithi Software Technologies Pvt Ltd and Ajay Phatak, Founder and CEO, Jopasana Software and Systems Pvt Ltd. Pradeep Satbhai, Senior VP (Systems and Processes), Kale Consultants, moderated the discussion.

SPIN Pune has now been active for 18 months. Starting, January 2003, SPIN has conducted monthly lectures by the Software Process Professionals and the SPIN Pune membership is now over 450 members from variety of companies; small and large.

On the completion of the first year of SPIN, the members held a signature program where eminent personalities from the field of software processes including author and thinker Dr. Pankaj Jalote, Navyug Mohnot, CEO, QAI, Pradeep Udhas, Ex-director, KPMG and Pradeep Waychal of Patni Computers held a discussion on the subject of Software Processes.
