IBM announced the appointment of Supertron Electronics Ltd as a national
distributor for its server range of products. This partnership would align with
IBM's strategy of upcountry focus on the server business. A dedicated business
partnership will enable IBM to reach out to larger segment of tier-2 partners
and to enable them directly.

Power consumption and thermal loads are increasing every day-a challenge that
calls for new thinking about the combination of hardware, software and
processors.

Mukul Mathur, Director-Channels and Marketing, IBM India/South Asia said,
“Supertron comes with deep penetration in non-metro locations. They have a very
sound distribution structure to address the challenges faced by partners in C
and D-class locations. This partnership will go a long way to help address the
channel needs to source IBM products and help address real customer problems in
these locations.”
