Supertron-AMD meet in Kolkata

Kolkata-based Supertron Electronics Ltd hosted a dealer meet
in the city called Supertron—Biostar—AMD meet. The event was organized to
address the channel partners formally about the recent business strategic
alliance of Supertron with Taiwan-based Biostar Microtech Intl Corp, one of the
leading manufacturers of motherboards and to showcase the wide range of Biostar
products.

Present in the meet were Simon Wu, International Sales
Representative (Marketing and Sales Division), Biostar, VK Bhandari, MD,
Supertron, Sunil Sharma, Consultant, Planning and Strategic Development
(Marketing), Supertron and Archit Manmohan, Field Sales Manager (East), AMD.

Around 50 dealers from Kolkata participated in the meet. The
event kicked off with a brief presentation of Supertron's future plans to be
one of the top five disti in two years by Sharma. He also announced the company's
aggressive marketing plan regarding the new products across India. This was
followed by another brief presentation by Wu about Biostar's background and
their market share in the Europe and US markets. Wu also informed about the
company's plans for the Indian market and their focused marketing plan for the
year of 2006. "We will focus on the Indian market with full range of
motherboards jointly with Supertron," said Wu. Archit Manmohan of AMD
concluded the presentations by addressing the partners on their AMD boards and
the latest technology trend for emerging markets like India.
