Pune.

After having established its operations in the metros, Supercom is now strategically penetrating and tapping the markets in the B and C class cities of the country.

“This was part of our long term marketing strategy. In Maharashtra, we will aggressively focus on B and C class cities. The same strategy would be followed with the rest of the states, where the penetration level of computer is on the rise,” said Indrajit Sabharwal, MD, Supercom Memories Pvt. Ltd

According him, the total market size for the modules in Pune itself is estimated to be around 4000 pieces per month. Supercom is expected to achieve sale of around 2500 modules per month by the end of Q1. To penetrate the concerned cities of Maharastra, the management of Supercom has appointed four distributors, based out of Pune.

Sandeep Bagade, an ex-Ingram Micro, has joined Supercom as Branch Manager and would head Pune operations. While Bagade will be responsible for entire Maharashtra, the management of Supercom has also decided to tap the end-user market, especially the home user segment. “To achieve this, we would soon be starting dealer campaigns, which will be targeted at this segment. These campaigns besides promoting the Simmtronics brand name, will also educate the customer about the quality of the branded product and the products that are available in the gray market,” added
Sabharwal.

In the legal branded market in India, Simmtronics memory modules market share has increased by approximately 20 percent after the introduction of Simmtronics chipset on all its modules.
