Supercom Memories, country representative and exclusive distribu-tors for Simmtronics, US (Mem-ory Component Corporation) in India is all up in arms to educate the channel against the coun-terfeit Simmtronics products.

Said Indrajit Sabharwal, Director, Supercom Memories, “We have heard that some companies in Nehru Place has launched imitation of the USB Pen Drives. Though right now we are not sure who all are involved but from heard it from certain sources.” Simmtronics has still not launched the USB Pen Drives in the country.

He further added, “But it’s difficult to imitate the product because of the presence of copper colored hologram on the package and on the module before buying.”

“We faced this kind of problem almost two years back with Simmtronics RAM, but it was on a small scale. But with the coming of the Simmtronics chipsets, it disappeared,” he informed.

Presently Supercom is trying to educate the channels on the pros and cons of buying origi-nal products. “From our side we are making all efforts to keep educating the channel. With the support of our channel, Simmtronics has over 95 percent market share in India.”

Simmtronics has issued a stern statement stating to take action against duplicate ven-dors. “Everyone who partici-pates in this duplicate market has and will be held accoun-table for this. Please do your part in helping the IT industry and all legitimate manufactu-rers and distributors,” it said.
