Sunstrike appoints Supertron as national distributor

After the appointment of Savera Marketing as national distributor exclusive for eastern region, now Delhi based Sunstrike Telecom, a subsidiary of Hong-Kong based Sunstrike International has further expanded its footprints in the remaining three regions, with the appointment of its second Kolkata based Supertron Electronic as national distributor for northern, southern and western regions. Supertron will be distributing Sunstrike's OptimaSmart brand tablet and accessories including power banks and portable speakers in the IT channels.

In a short span of time, Sunstrike has built up its telecom as well as IT channel for its range of tablets. Keeping separate strategies for the two different channels, the company is also growing its telecom channel at the same time. Recently, it held its first Delhi based dealers meet for the telecom channel.

Speaking on the appointment of Supertron, Sanjeev Soni, director, sales, IT, Sunstrike Telecom, said, "With Supertron coming on board as our second national distributor, we will shortly cover our pan-India presence of our tablets. We have already started billing of tablets through Supertron's sub distributors in northern region, where in South and West we will roll out our products in the next couple of months. By end of June, we will be present in all the four regions."

In North, Supertron has strong presence in all the major states including Punjab, western and eastern Uttar Pradesh, J&K, Chandigarh and Rajasthan. Soni also added, "The rational to rope in Supertron was that the distributor is not having any competitive tablet brands in its current portfolio."

Besides Supertron, Sunstrike has already appointed its regional distributors for eastern region and Delhi and Haryana market. The company has initiated its alliance with Kolkata based Savera Marketing, and for Delhi and Haryana region, it was roped in Delhi based Exclusive Systems and will have a twin tier distribution structure in place to cater to the IT retailers.
