Su-Kam, one of the leaders
in the power back-up industry has successfully supplied, installed
and commissioned a solar project in the famous Gates College in
Andhra Pradesh. The project was completed in March, 2011 and took an
impressive 30 days to complete and install a solar power system.

Solar power system is a
roof top stand alone system, which can directly supply a day time
demand of 100 kilowatts power. It can generate 400 to 500 units of
power daily. This project undertaken by Su-Kam is the biggest private
sector project in South India for Solar. The solar system will help
the college to save 60 tons of carbon dioxide emission per annum.
Engineering students were facing irregular power cuts as the labs
required continuous power supply. The students will get rid of the
irregular and long power cuts with the newly installed solar system.
