StorageTek, HP unveil storage products

StorageTek has extended its OEM partnership with HP to deliver new midrange
backup storage products to the mar-ket. "We have extended our strategic
relationship with HP through the leveraging of StorageTek's breakthrough tape
automation technology in the new HP StorageWorks Enterprise Modular Library (EML),"
said Pat Martin, Chair-man, President and CEO, Stor-ageTek. "HP is
StorageTek's premier provider of LTO Ultri-um technology, so this OEM
agreement for tape automa-tion technology takes our already strong relationship
to the next level." StorageTek's midrange product portfolio and advanced
tape storage solutions are designed to sim-plify and automate customers'
backup and recovery opera-tions and establish highly flexible archive
architectures to accommodate their future growth. In partnership with HP and
other key technology providers, StorageTek contin-ues to pioneer high-perfor-mance,
highly scalable tape storage solutions for the small and medium sized businesses
and enterprise markets to me-et their unique data storage and protection
requirements.
