Steve Jobs, CEO, Apple Computers is learnt to have
postponed his first official visit to India till September 2006. CyberMedia News
had earlier reported that he was likely to visit India in the first week of
April. Jobs is said to be keen on having Apple's R&D center in Bangalore
functional before his visit. The company has plans to hire 3,000 people in India
by 2007. Jobs has special affinity to India. He had spent four years in the
1970's as a 'hippie spiritual tourist' visiting holy places in the
country. Jobs admires India as one of the fast groÂwing economies in the world.
