New Update

It is official now. Few editions before, 'The DQ Week' had published a news-item questioning the reason for not having a state association in Andhra Pradesh. However, following Karnataka, the dealers in Andhra Pradesh have joined hands together to form a state body. The association is likely to be named Confederation of Information Technology association-Andhra Pradesh.
For a long time, the only state that did not have a state association amongst the southern state was Andhra Pradesh. Even though being geographically big and having more districts, the state was having no single body to represent the welfare of the state dealers.

According to the sources, members from the districts Anantapur, Kurnool, Tirupati, Nellore, Guntur, Kakinada, Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Vijayawada and West Godavari are meeting and are likely to come up with a state forum. The total strength of the association is likely to be more than 1500 that includes regional distributors, sub distributors, resellers and system integrators.

The president and other office bearers will be announced in the meeting that is likely to happen next week. The association is likely to function on the lines of the Confed-ITA model. Whatsoever, this association formation has made the roots stronger for the formation of the association for South.
Most of the dealers who shared their views with ‘The DQ Week', welcomed this move and has called this one of the historical event in the IT business of Andhra Pradesh.
