Sparr to make RFID readers

Bangalore-based hardware manufacturer Sparr Ele-ctronics will shortly be
produ-cing RFID readers, designed and manufactured indigeno-usly. The company,
however is looking at making this differ-ent from many conventional readers.
"We are working on RFID readers which would be Ethernet-enabled. This would
make them completely porta-ble and cost effective," infor-med Mohandas U,
Director, Sparr Electronics. Sparr is in talks with a US-based com-pany to offer
WLAN network solutions, wherein Ethernet cables are not required at all starting
from the node to corporate LAN.
