Sophos, is all set to roll out partner expansion
plans in Chandigarh, Ahmedabad and Kolkata during October, this year.
They are also planning to organize partner acquisition roadshows that
will start from early 2011. The company started its operation in
India last year with primary focus on metros and large cities
including- Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad and Bangalore.

, Altaf Halde, Country Director, Sophos India said, "We
are slowly treading in the market in these large cities and are
cautious about the trends and developments in the region. Our
go-to-market strategy is clearly woven around our partners. Though
our products are very simple to use and manage we would still like to
go with technically trained and qualified partners, so as to provide
local support to our customers."

The company is
aggressively looking to increase its focused partner strength upto
50, which would include regional resellers as well as national-level
SIs.

"In order to bring
more partners to our fold, we have a new partner acquisition roadshow
planned starting early 2011. In parallel to that we want to have at
least five national-level Managed Service Providers (MSPs)
operational by the end of 2011," Halde said. According to him,
the company will initiate partner expansion plan in cities like
Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Chandigarh in October this year.

"The biggest
advantage a partner gets while partnering with Sophos is the
opportunity to go to their existing customers as well as approach new
customers with feature-rich solutions that not only address all the
security threats faced by organizations but also give a high return
on investments by providing easy-to-use and simple-to-manage
solutions,” added Halde.

As a part of the partner
program, Sophos will also offer online and classroom sales and
technical training, which is designed to complement and develop
solution and product selling skills of partners.
