Sony launches external DVD burner- DRX-720UL

Sony has announced the launch of its external DVD burning drive - DRX-720UL
in the market. The drive gets connected to Laptop/Desktop PC through USB 2.0 and
DV iLink Interface.

According to the press release, the DRX 720UL features high speed DVD writing
in five DVD Burning formats - DVD+R: 16x, DVD-R: 16X, DVD+R DL (Double Layer):
4X, DVD+RW: 8x, DVD-RW: 6x. This burner also writes on CD formats like CD-R at
48x and CD-RW at 24x.

The max read speeds of Sony DRX 720UL are DVD Rom 16x and CD-ROM 48x and the
drive comes along with Nero software bundle for burning video, music and data to
DVD or CD.

The drive also offers Mac compatibility for MAC OS X (Version 10.2 or later),
but the software required is Roxio Toast Lite6 for the same, which needs to be
purchased separately. Sony DRX-720UL is priced at Rs 12,250.
