Sony Launches Cognitive TV Screen Bravia XR X90J

Sony has launched Bravia XR TV X90J which promises to take vision and sound to the next level with the ingenious Cognitive Processor XR. The company claims that it understands how humans see and hear, providing a whole new experience that immerses you completely in the scene. According to Sony, to create a closer-to-reality feeling, Cognitive Processor XR divides the screen into hundreds of zones and recognises individual objects in these zones better than ever before. They can cross-analyse around a few hundred thousand different elements that make up a picture in a second, the same way that our brains work.

Sony says that unlike a conventional TV where all picture elements are adjusted to the same level, BRAVIA XR X90J TVs with cross-analysis adjust each element to its best final outcome, in conjunction with each other, so everything is in harmony and feels totally natural.BRAVIA XR TVs claim to work the same way as our eyes, detecting the main focal point in a scene and enhancing each detail in an object so it stands out with a natural sense of depth, just as in the real world.

The company says that delivering sound in horizontal and vertical directions, BRAVIA XR X90J TVs provide a real multi-dimensional experience. They analyse and upconvert audio to 5.1.2ch surround sound, creating a true 3D soundscape.

Features of X90J -

  • Zones of LEDs lit or dimmed independently for realistic brightness and shadow detail
  • Cognitive Processor XR™ understands how humans see and hear for true immersion
  • Sound-positioning tweeters turn any sound immersive
  • Minimalist design with narrow bezel for less distractions

Sony claims that BRAVIA XR X90J TVs are not only designed to be stylish but also with the environment in mind. Up to 30% of sustainable material is used in the frame of this TV and their recyclable plastic SORPLAS with an industry-leading recycle rate of 89% is used in its components.
