Sony India Ltd, the 100 percent subsidiary of Sony
Corporation Japan, announced the appointment of Rashi Peripherals Pvt Ltd as one
of the distributors for Sony Digital Imaging range of products in the IT
channel. Rashi, would promote through its IT channel, not only the Cybershot
range of digital still cameras, but also Handycam and Memory Stick related
peripherals, representing a complete solution for IT consumers.
As part of the collaboration, Rashi will promote these
products through its dedicated network of resellers all across the country
catering to different market segments. The distribution will be done through the
Rashi network of 25 branch offices. With this association, Sony is looking at
reaching out to more than 3,000 IT channel partners across the country. Sony
along with Rashi, is planning a major campaign along with countrywide seminars
to explain the utility of Sony Digital Imaging products. The objective of the
seminars, will be to advise the channel partners to promote solution-based
benefit concept, which will bring value to their customers.
Commenting on this partnership, Keiichi Sakamoto, MD,

segment for Sony Digital Imaging products amongst the PC users and also cater to
