Smartlink appoints Bimal Raj as CEO

Smartlink has appointed Bimal Raj as CEO, products and aervices. Raj will be heading DIGISOL, DIGILITE and DIGICARE brand of business. He will be reporting to K R Naik, executive chairman of the company.

Naik, while commenting on the appointment, said, "Smartlink with its portfolio of brands is off to a good start and we have received a very positive response from the Indian market. This, we believe would be the right time to increase our presence across key markets and product segments through a focused approach. Appointment of Raj as the new CEO at Smartlink would help us drive forward our growth plans. I am sure we will benefit immensely from his rich experience and proven success record and we welcome Raj to Smartlink family."

He further added, "Raj's induction into our team would help me to focus more on our core strength ie, manufacturing and to explore new avenues for the company, both strategically and operationally."

Raj is a senior management professional with significant management and leadership experience in large, dynamic organizations along with more than 24 years of experience in IT industry. He has taken up various responsibilities in the areas of sales and marketing, identifying new technology areas and revenue streams, strategic planning and development.

His prior assignment was as CEO at Allied Digital Services. The appointment was approved by the Smartlink Board of Directors on a meeting dated March 30, 2012.
