Hiten Shah, the newly appointed President of SITA and Proprietor of Media
House, has already got into action, as he has planned to have an exclusive expo
for notebooks in another two months. SITA has chosen its new President, but the
rest of the committee will be selected next week at its annual gen-eral meeting
to be held on May 20, 2004. The new President already has his agenda ready and
two days back also decided on conducting this unique expo on notebooks.
"Today, there are so many vendors specializing in note-books, but no
product avail-able for demonstration. Surat being a rich city, it’s time that
such an exclusive expo is orga-nized where customers can come and feel such
products. We would try involving other niche products like digital cameras
also," said Shah.
The rest of the agenda of the new President include, increasing the morale of
members to better trade and business. "Many of the traders are not
interested in upgrading their skills and also their business. It’s time that
partners start to charge customers and join programs like ‘Mission Prosper IT’.
There will be also seminars held by experts on relaxations on taxation, as many
of the traders are not aware of these benefits. The annual expo is also on the
agenda and this time, we have planned to not have it in the routine manner, but
do something different."
