SITA goes health-conscious

As part of its social service initiatives, the South Gujarat Information Technologists Association (SITA) recently conducted a voluntary blood donation and free eye check up drive in Surat.

The initiative was conducted at and in association with Vasan Eye Care Clinic. Members from Surat Rakht Daan Kendra too set up their blood donation camp at the same venue.

Kaushal Choksi, president, SITA said, "We received tremendous positive response and it also serves our purpose to ensure our contribution towards society and well-being of our channel partners."

Around 75 partners donated blood and about over 100 of them got their eyes checked.

The association is now planning to tie-up with couple of other doctors in Surat for other health related check ups. "We now plan to tie up for free dental check up and entire body health check up which includes ECG, lipid profile, sugar etc. with certain hospitals in Surat for the benefit of our partner community, "Choksi informed.
