Supercom Memories Pvt Ltd, New Delhi-based memory company, has become the first to launch DDR PC400 Mhz memory module in India. Simmtronics is one of the first companies in the world to launch DDR400 modules.
"Motherboards which would be requiring DDR400 are currently being introduced worldwide. The product is being launched worldwide by Simmtronics," said Indrajit Sabharwal, MD, Supercom Memories Pvt Ltd.
Simmtronics is one of the first companies to launch DDR400 Memory in the world. According to Sabharwal with the launch of this product in the Indian market, Simmtronics is bound to increase its market share in India.
The Simmtronics memory modules which will be available in the Indian market will of 128 MB, 256 MB and 512 MB capacities. All Simmtronics modules have Simmtronics chips on their modules. In the near future up to first quarter 2004, nearly all the motherboards will be based upon DDR400.
"For optimum utilization, most of the computer based on these motherboards will have to install DDR PC400 Mhz memory module. Besides increase in memory storage, this will further enhance the speed of transaction being done," added
Sabharwal.
Some of the features of the product are-Performance range (DDR400, CL2.5), 4ns, double-data-rate architecture, bi-directional data strobe, differential clock inputs (CK and /CK), DLL aligns DQ and DQS transition with CK transition, auto & self refresh capability, single 2.5 +/-0.2V power supply, programmable read latency 2, 2.5 (clock), programmable burst length (2, 4, 8), programmable burst type (sequential and interleave) etc.
