The complaints range from pricing structure, opening of their own retail outlets and offering customers a value for merchandise which the local dealers can never think of. The partners not only feel helpless but even cheated at this juncture. They fail to realize the root cause of the problem.

Speaking to a member of North Bengal IT Traders Association, he said that the vendors need to implement stricter policies, that is, those partners of Kolkata who are opening their distribution channel in Siliguri as an attempt to increase business should also do without opening a retail outlet of their own. Many emails have been sent to vendors like HP, Asus but the local partners still have not received any positive response yet.

The clash between NITO and IT Dealers Association of Siliguri (ITDAS) is also a concern for the partners as this is one time when the entire community should stand united and raise their voice against outside distributors. The partners believe that these Kolkata partners are taking advantage of the different opinions that lies between the members of NITO and ITDAS.
