management company Kaleidoscope is ready to host the city's most
cherished IT exhibition. The association has claimed that the IT fair
will witness more than 80,000 attendees from six districts of North
Bengal and Sikkim to lay their eyes on the fabulous offerings of new

Siliguri-based Computer Land opting to feature as the co-sponsor of
the fair, Dhar expressed that there has been a 40 percent increase in
stalls and partnerships compared to the figures in 2007, when the
city witnessed its last computer fair. This time, since the fair is
scheduled to be held after a span of three years, the local IT
association has planned to conduct it in an enormous scale. With
nearly 95 percent of stall bookings over and all sponsors finalized
for the expo, NITO has plans to aggressively advertise the fair. It
has tied up with a local FM station for the advertising activities
and is targeting to bring in celebrities on all the four days. “We
are planning to rope in an RJ, for the fair, who will be there
throughout the event. We have also come up with an idea of 'happy
hours' in the afternoon, where the visitors can avail special offers
and discounts. A technical session will be conducted for the
visitors, and we shall donate computers to educational institutions,”
Dhar concluded.

show
will feature a broad array of exciting products and exhibitor
announcements, many of which provide consumers with unprecedented
control over when, where and how they watch movies, listen to music,
view their digital photos and access information, education and
entertainment content. The fair would be a big trend on the show
floor in 2010 as traditional product categories will be merged
together to create unique, multi-functional digital devices. In
addition, the convergence trend transcended the show floor with an
exciting array of announcements concerning cross-industry
partnerships that promise to give consumers a variety of choices in
the way they obtain, view and listen to digital content.
