Sharp Business Systems (India) Ltd has unveiled its range of LCD products at the two day event entitled 'Crystal clear City-Sharp's world of LCD'. Among Sharp LCD products are the Zaurus, a Personal digital assistant with LCD display, mobile phone equipped with a color LCD display and a digital camera. Narinder Sharma, Chairman and MD, MTNL inaugurated the event.
TetSuro Mizuta, MD, Sharp, said, "With broadband Internet becoming more widespread and with networking becoming commonplace, 'mobile' will be the keyword for the product both inside the home and out."
The company is now working to create LCD applied products that integrate the technologies of consumer electronics, information and communications. The LCD monitors are available in 15-inch, 16-inch and 18-inch and their price range is from
Rs 42,000 to Rs 1,35, 000. Also on display is the company's thinnest and lightest notebook 'Muramasa'.
Sunil Sinha, Chief Executive, Sharp said that the company is now making a major foray in the Indian IT market with its wide range of LCD monitors and it aims to become the market
leader.
Sharp Business (India) Ltd is a joint venture between Sharp Corporation, Japan and Larsen and Toubro Ltd, India. Sharp holds 74 percent share while Larsen and Toubro has 26 percent share in the company.
