SES CEO Krishnaprasad resigns

PK Krishna Prasad, the high-profiled CEO of India's fifth-largest IT
distributor, SES Technologies, is believed to have resigned, according to
reliable market sources.

While SES officials have refused to comment on this development, it is
reliably learnt that Krishna Prasad had put in his papers 10 days ago assigning
personal reasons. According to sources the reason why Prasad quit is because he
is moving to Pune to take care of his ailing mother.

Sources also informed that Kurian Chandy, VP of SES Technologies, will
takeover as the CEO of the company.

Krishna Prasad, started overseeing SES Tech operations from the time when he
was associated with Sai Service since 1992. He officially took over as the CEO
of SES Tech in 1999.

SES Tech, which was part of the Sai Service group, was taken over by Lucknow-based
Sahara Computers and Electronics Ltd (SCEL) - a joint venture between the South
African IT major Sahara Computers (SCPL) and Sahara India Pariwar, in August
last year.

SES Technologies closed the year 2004-05 with a turnover of Rs 377 crore,
making it the sixth largest distributor in the DQC Silver Club. This is an
increase of 37 percent over its previous year. Compared to the negative growth
of seven percent it had in 2003-04, last fiscal was an extremely good year.
