Seminar on Advantage Bengal

This year's India International Trade Fair (IITF) held at
Pragati Maidan, New Delhi recently, focused on Bengal as a mark of recognition
for the State's gigantic stride to take its pride of place in the Industrial
map of India. CII partnered Government of West Bengal in organizing a conference
at the same time to share its success stories, with emphasis on IT & ITeS,
Food Processing and Tourism. The seminar on IT was attended by Manabendra
Mukherjee, Bengal IT Minister and functionaries of State and Union Government
and leading luminaries of the sector. The pre-lunch session focused on Advantage
Bengal — IT and ITeS. A presentation was made by Dr GD Gautama, IT Secretary,
to showcase the strides made by Bengal in the field of IT.
