Embarking on its aggressive market expansion strategy, Toshiba India has recently announced the appointment of Superton Electronics Ltd (SEL) as its national distributor for the AMD processor powered laptops and the entire netbooks range.
The appointment of SEL is in line with the company's plans to aggressively expand its penetration in the country and further its reach to consumers in the major upcountry locations.
Commenting on the new partnership, Pranab Mohanty, VP - Sales and Field Marketing, Toshiba India said, "We believe channel partners and distributors are a lifeline to our business structure. Through this tie up, we at Toshiba have taken another step to reach out to all our potential consumers in smaller cities and towns and provide them the opportunity to own the latest technology. We are pleased to join hands with SEL for a national distribution arrangement".
With the appointment of SEL, a larger number of IT retail partners across India especially in Tier 2 and 3 cities can look forward to a better and more attentive distribution services for Toshiba's feature rich AMD processor powered Laptops and entire range of Netbooks. This collaboration will also grant consumers easy access to the new lineup of Toshiba laptops featuring exciting powerful computing and multimedia features at extremely aggressive price points.

Post the tie-up, Toshiba India will now have a network of total of 4 national distributors and 10 regional distributors for its Laptop business across India.
