According to the company, this solution is one of the most advanced in Asia and capable of seamlessly integrating front-end customer interaction, to fleet management and back-office functions. Developed under Satyam's Global Logistics Practice (GLP) over the equivalent of 20 man-years, the supply chain management solutions project included three enterprise-wide applications.

The uniqueness of the system, according to the company, lies in its ability to allow a logistics provider such as Konsortium to view revenue/cost reports in order to instantaneously gauge operating profitability for each customer's order, distribute that order among different logistic service providers, manage its fleet and plan transportation loads, bill and track accounts payable and maintain contracts and performance rankings of a network of vendors supporting Konsortium under the company's affiliate management system.

Raju said, "For Satyam this is a milestone development, not just in terms of the technological competencies achieved by our logistics practice, but also for what it means for our strategy to grow our operations in Malaysia and the region."
