SAP labs has developed a special tool to bid on players during IPL auction along with Kolkata Knight Riders. The software developed under SAP HANA platform is called SAP Auction Analytics which will help bidders, in this case KKR, to scout out the right talent in the auction process.
Prior to the IPL auction which begins on 12th February, SAP and KKR jointly announced the SAP Auction today in Bangalore. The software which is built on database from IPL matches, Champion's League will help to differentiate between capped and un-capped players. It will be providing a detailed information on each cricketer's statistics, performance and score. Commenting o the chief pain-points this software will be addressing, Anirban Dey, MD, SAP Labs India, said, "This software will help KKR bidding team to know why a particular player is good and suitable for the team. It will be fully aware of the options to constitute the KKR team. This will help them to stay on top in the entire bidding process".
