Sanjiv Bhavnani, MD, Infortecnics

A self-starter with over 10 years of business experience and

18 years of professional experience in the IT industry. He is the Promoter and

M.D. of Infotecnics India Ltd

An Engineering Graduate from the Punjab Engineering College,

Chandigarh in 1983, he has done his Post Graduation in Management from the All

India Management Association with a specialization in IT and also has a Post

Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management from the IMM, Delhi.

Starting his career with BlueStar Ltd in 1983 as a Project

Sales Engineer, he played a major role in the design and implementation of

several computer centers, amongst them were, the National Informatics Centre, US

Information Service, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, MECON, UPTRON etc.

Joining CMC Ltd in 1986, was responsible for the

conceptualisation and sale of IT solutions deploying contemporary technologies

in real-time applications such as remote sensing, SCADA. He joined Tecnova

Information System Ltd-a company promoted by Tecnova S.A., France as the VP

(Marketing) In 1989, where he worked on Software contracts with leading French

companies like Renault and Lo’real.

His last assignment prior to promoting Infotecnics was as the

CEO of Meera Information Technologies-Sofware Exports Division of the $ 25

million Meera and Co Ltd.

He promoted Infotecnics in 1991 with a focus on providing

cutting edge technology integration and quality services to IT user community in

India. These solutions were implemented by deploying world leading products and

technologies from Compaq, IBM, Sun, Cisco, 3Com, Novell, Oracle, Microsoft and

others.

Today Infotecnics is the largest Indian partner of Novell

apart from being a leading Technology Integrator in North India. It is strongly

positioned to developed into a major software and professional services

exporter, with several projects implemented and underway in the Asia-Pacific

Region, Middle East, Europe and America. It has taken management control and a

major equity stake in Opentech Thai Network Specialists Ltd and is looking at

acquisitions and Joint Ventures in Australia, Europe and US.
