Riding on the success of retailing in India, Samsung has further strengthened its retail experience, with the opening of its first of its kind 1,600 sq ft mobile brand store in the popular Select City Walk Mall in Saket, Delhi. This store is second such store outside the world. The store will be owned and operated by one of the Samsung telecom partner-Optiemus Infracom.
Speaking at the opening of the store, Ranjit Yadav, country head, Mobile and IT, Samsung said, "We are planning to open many such stores in main metros. From our point of view, this store, in addition to our existing stores will offer wide choice of buying experience to our customers for our mid and high-end range of mobile and IT products along with latest accessories."
Currently, Samsung does 90% of its retail business though its existing number of smartphone cafes and digital plaza. At the mobile brand store, the company is providing a unique table format display so that multiple demos can be conducted at the same time. Moreover, the company is also offering All Share application for seamless transfer of content across devices.
At the store, Samsung has a range of 19 smartphones in the price range of Rs 7,350 to Rs 38,250 and its tablet range feature 3 models in the price range of Rs 30,350 and Rs 39,500.
