Samsung India Electronics Ltd, Information Techno-logy and Telecommunication (SIEL) has announced the launch of what it terms as India’s first entry-level laser printer–ML 1510, in the sub Rs 10,000 category.
With an estimated street price of Rs 9,999, Samsung inte-nds to expand the Laser printer market by targeting up-country markets. This will help convert a lot of customers from inkjet/DMP printers to laser. Samsung ML1510 will come with a stan-dard three years return to bench warranty offering total peace of mind to first time users. ML1510 prints at 14 ppm, 600x60 and comes with a duty cycle of 15,000 pages per month.
Princy Bhatnagar, National Sales Manager, SIEL said, “Indian laser market is very uniquely poised for a very str-ong growth.
World over laser printers account for over 20 percent of the total printer market, whereas in India they account for only 10 percent-13 percent. The ML1510 revoluti-onary performance and total cost of ownership has the potential to change the face of laser printer market.”
The company has also anno-unced the launch of another aggressive initiative to lower customer ownership cost of Laser printers. All Samsung laser printer models will now come with a standard three years warranty. This range includes ML1510, ML1710, ML1750, ML2150, ML1651N and ML2151N. Personal models like ML1510, ML1710, ML1750 will carry a three years return to bench warranty. Workgroup laser products ML2150, ML1651N and ML2151N will come with a three years onsite warranty. “With this initiative, Samsung will enable an imme-diate benefit of Rs 3500 to
