Samsung intros new models

Consumer electronics major Samsung India has announced its
plans to strengthen its digital products portfolio comprising digital still
cameras, digital camcorders and MP3 players in the Indian market.

According to Samsung officials the recent launched model
YP-D1 is the world's first MP3 player with camera.

Addressing the media, Pradeep Tognatta, Director — Sales,
Samsung India said, “We are planning to strengthen the flat television range
by launching new sound oriented models in the 21-inch and the 29-inch screen
size segment this month.”

The new models would have sound output of 600W and 1200W
PMPO. Noida-based Samsung India R&D Center has designed and developed these
products exclusively for the Indian market. The company is aiming to sell 1.8
million CTVs in the Indian market across flat panel categories this year.

R Zutshi, Deputy MD, Samsung, India said, “We are going
to invest $20 million this year for upgrading the company's production faci­lity
at Noida and also towards marketing new products.”
