Samsung Electronics India Limited, Information Technology and Telecommunication announced the lucky winner for its channel scheme-Bangkok Bonanza. This scheme is a part of the ongoing Team Samsung initiatives that was started in . This scheme is a prelude to the Samsung Becho Switzerland Jao contest. Bangkok Bonanza had over 500 resellers qualifying and 50 partners were announced winners in a lucky draw that was held on July 15, 2003. This lucky draw was webcasted live on

"This scheme is just a prelude to what all is to come in the future. Bangkok Bonanza II will follow this scheme during July 14 to July 18, 2003. All a partner has to do is to accumulate at least 500 runs for qualifying and then 20 resellers across the nation will get a chance to go to Bangkok for two days and three nights," said Ashish Gupta, Product Manager (OMS), Samsung India.
This scheme is a point based and one has to accumulate minimum of 500 runs to qualify for the Samsung Becho Switzerland Jao contest. With as less as 1,500 runs a reseller can win a hand blender and with 75,000 runs one could go to Switzerland.
It also announced Assured Margin Rebate Program for all corporate resellers as a part of corporate focus initiative. This program is hailed as one of the most radical programs for corporate resellers. This is launched to incentivise Corporate Reseller partners. Their focus on Samsung Laser Printers will earn them an 'Assured Margin' on selling Samsung Laser Printers to Medium and Corporate Enterprises.
This offer, running in ALL across the country till September 30, 2003 will offer assured margin to corporate resellers up to a maximum of eight percent on all dealer transfer prices on the Printers/MFDs sold to the corporate customers.
"The Printer market is very amenable this year. With a 22 percent market share we plan to go very aggressive with the printer market this year, said Farrukh Kazi (National Product Manager - LBP and OA business). To illustrate the offer, he added, "If ABC computers Ltd Bangalore sells 8 x ML 1750 Model (purchase price of Rs 18,000) at end user price of Rs 18,400 he gets an opportunity to make a clear and additional Rs 1,440 @ eight percent making the top slab in this scheme."
Samsung will now focus on the corporate (large and medium enterprises) segment with their range of workgroup and departmental laser printers and MFDs. Samsung will also launch a scheme for the sales executives of corporate resellers soon as a part of the corporate focus.
