Samsung–AKCMADA IT Show 2004 conducted by the All Kerala Computer
Manufactures and Dealers Association came to an end on May 16, 2004 at the
Ernakulam Temple Grounds, Cochin. Sebastian Paul (MP), had inaugurated the
event.
People thronged the event, which was held for three days, without a break in
spite of the intermittent rains shows the popularity of the show.
In the event 62 stalls were booked and the show was marked by lucky draws for
the visitors, which was conducted every 30 minutes. Team Front-line Pvt Ltd
bagged a digital camera in the ‘Best-Decorated Stall’ category.
The show saw the partici-pation of a number of top ven-dors like Samsung,
Intel, Epson, Canon, HP, D-Link, Compex, who basically focused on demons-tration
of products.
The exhibition was also unique in the sense that the entire ground was made
into a hot spot, which was done by Digicom, distributor for D-Link in Kerela and
all Wi-Fi enabled devices inside the show had free access to the Internet
arranged through Asianet.
Buoyed by the success of the event Samsung has decided to repeat similar show
every three months in all the major districts of Kerala.
