At the inauguration of
Southwest Asia Regional Forum 2011,
href="https://www.dqweek.com/samsung-india-warranty-support-for-hard-disks">Samsung
Electronics has outlined
its regional strategy and this year's product portfolio. Broadening
its 'Smarter Life' concept, the company has bought innovations in
Internet-connected TVs, consumer-inspired digital cameras and latest
mobile technologies; along with laying out plans for developing its
regional market presence.
Speaking on this occasion,
JS Shin, President of Samsung Electronics Southwest Asia, highlighted
the pillars of Samsung's 'Smarter Life' philosophy, that
incorporates Smart Design, Smart Experiences and Smart Connections.
Smart Design creates intuitive designs that increase functionality
for consumers; Smart Experiences provides a wide variety of
applications, games and programming delivered on a broad range of
platforms through bright and dynamic screens; and Smart Connections
allow Samsung devices to automatically connect to each other, sharing
content and enhancing user experiences.
“This is a region of
tremendous growth and potential for Samsung Electronics. We have the
potential to reach the number one marketshare in numerous categories,
while strengthening our partner and channel relationships,
particularly in a country like India where markets are maturing and
the potential for growth is unlimited,” said Shin.
He further added, “In
2011, we aim to become the top most preferred brand in Southwest
Asia. India is a top strategic market for Samsung. We have taken
initiatives in the education sector. For example, we have opened an
e-learning center in Noida and Chennai and going forward, we will be
opening two more centers in Kolkata and Ahmedabad. We have also
partnered with IIM Ahmedabad and IIT Delhi. We want to be the key
enabler in education, through our innovative technologies. Besides,
we are in the process of identifying other business opportunities
here as well.”
Besides announcing new
additions in its LED TV, digital cameras, and home appliances at this
forum, Samsung has introduced new class of Android-based smartphones
and tablets in its 'Galaxy' family line. Out of these is the
dual-core Galaxy S II, that is powered by Android Gingerbread
platform. It is equipped with Samsung's new crystal-clear Super
AMOLED Plus screen. With Samsung Hubs, this smartphone delivers rich
catalog of books and magazines, music, advanced mobile games to
consumers. Also, with enterprise mobility solutions, it helps
enterprise users empower a flexible and connected mobile workforce.
The company has also
expanded the 'Galaxy Tab' range with the launch of Tab 10.1 and Tab
8.9. A dual-core smart media device powered by Android Honeycomb, the
Tab 10.1 boasts of its lightweight and thin design on a 10.1-inch
large display. And while giving a new dimension to the home and
mobile office, Samsung has also expanded in IT solution products,
including notebooks and printers. One of the key highlight is the
launch of the Notebook Series 9, an ultra-premium offering that
infuses chic design with advanced hardware for consumers, who seek
utility and sophistication.
The Notebook Series 9 is
touted to be the world's first laptop to use duralumin for its
external casing. With its Fast Start technology and solid state
drive, the Series 9 can start in just 15 seconds.
The ML-3710ND printer,
meanwhile, is the world's first printer equipped with a dual-core
CPU to support the printing heavier documents with complex graphs and
images. The printer also possesses 'one-touch ECO button', that turns
on environmental friendly settings like double-sided printing and
toner saving mode, while the result simulator display shows reduced
carbon emissions, electricity usage, and the amount of saved paper
based on the selected setting.
