Sai Infosystems signs 250 crore deal with BSNL

Having a group turnover of
more than Rs 1,000 crore and popularly known as SIS, Sai Infosystems
has recently closed a deal with href="https://www.dqweek.com/intel-and-bsnl-ka-pehla-kadam">BSNL
for the deployment of
datacenters. “We are pleased to announce our partnership with BSNL
for datacenters and the total investment by SIS will be 250 crore.
Currently we will be deploying the datacenters in Bengaluru,
Hyderabad, Cochin and Ernakullam. We ensure, to make it a powerful
and efficient datacenter,” shared Kirit Joshi, Senior VP, Sai
Infosystems. Consequently, SIS is
focusing on the telecom and convergence of IT and are striving hard
to create a strong domestic platform for the same. According to Sunil
Kakkad, Chairman and MD, SIS, “Future of IT will be the convergence
and cloud computing. The way PC overtook the type writer, its time
now for the cloud computing to emerge as the next big thing in the
market.”

Talking about the deal,
Kakkad added, that the project has strategic importance for SIS from
two angles and it will facilitate their entry into the cloud
computing space. Along with video telephony, datacenter project will
establish SIS as an IT infrastructure major. “We will no longer be
known only as System integrators,” added Kakkad. Talking about the
green datacenters, Joshi commented, “Green is ultimately a very
broad term and I would like to quantify it in terms of power
efficiency.” As far as the future
projects are concerned, SIS is coming up with multiple projects and
aiming at various customers and business partners.
