Rohde & Schwarz to introduce device certification for Indian electronics industry

Rohde & Schwarz has collaborated with the Global Certification Forum (GCF) to introduce device certification for the Indian electronics industry through its flexible, scalable and configurable test solutions, at an event in Bengaluru.

Rohde & Schwarz’s has been actively involved in providing its state-of-art test. The validated platform solutions ranging from RF (R&S TS8980), RRM (R&S TS-RRM), protocol (R&S CMW500), data performance (R&S CMW-PQA) and positioning (R&S TS-LBS) are widely used by leading network operators, handset manufacturers, chipset manufacturers and test labs across the globe for enabling device certification.

“India is a high growth mobile market and we see more local operators are gradually acknowledging the importance of GCF certification in reducing interoperability issues in their devices across the networks,” said Yatish Mohan, MD, Rohde & Schwarz India Private Limited. “Our ultimate goal is to support the local industry with our GCF test offerings and facilitate certification in order for them to compete successfully in global markets.”

During the event in Bengaluru, Rohde & Schwarz showcased several demonstrations related to GCF testing alongside the meeting.
