Reliance launches Lyf Water 5 smartphone with 13MP camera & VoLTE support

Reliance has expanded its Lyf smartphone range with the launch of Lyf Water 5 smartphone. Priced at Rs 11,699, the Lyf Water 5 is exclusively available on Amazon.

The handset comes with dual-sim functionality and VoLTE support like other smartphones in the Lyf series. Reliance Lyf Water 5 has a 5-inch HD display of 1280x720 pixels resolution protected with Dragontrail glass on top.

The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and is powered by a Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. It offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. However, there's no way to expand the storage capacity.

There's a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing snapper for selfies on-board. On the connectivity front, the handset has 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi and VoLTE support, along with Bluetooth and GPS. The Lyf Water 5 packs a 2,920 mAh battery.

Recently, Reliance extended the trial launch of its 4G services to the public via an invite system, driven by its group employees, as it inches closer to a commercial launch widely expected to be later this year.
