Redington would distribute Linksys broadband routers, 10/100 switches,
gigabit products, wireless-B and Wireless-G LAN products and entertainment
solutions
Linksys, a division of Cisco Systems, Inc, has announced the appoin-tment of
Redington India Ltd to sell Linksys network hard-ware solutions to resellers and
end users throughout India. Linksys product lines to be distributed by Redington
include broadband routers, 10/100 switches, gigabit products, wireless-B and
Wireless-G LAN products and entertainment solutions.
According to the press release, Redington will offer the Linksys' line of
wired and wireless networking products throughout India. This appointment
designa-tes Linksys as one of the company's key SOHO, home networking and
small business vendors. Linksys will have access to Redin-gton training and
marketing programs and benefit from the support of the com-pany's sales force.
New products immediately available from Redington include Linksys home enter-tainment
devices such as the Wireless-G media adapter (WGA54G), which allows gamers to
wirelessly connect their PlayStation2, Xbox or GameCube consoles together for
head-to-head gaming and to the Internet for live online multi-player gaming or
the Wireless-G Internet Video Camera (WVC54G), a camera enabling users to
monitor the home and office wirelessly via a web browser, from anywhere in the
world.
