Eaton Corporation has appointed Redington as its national distributor for
power supplies across the country. With the new appointment Eaton is targeting
the metros and B and C-class cities. The company is eyeing small and medium
enterprises, SOHO, networking and industrial market.
Speaking on the occasion, Deepak Sharma, GM-South Asia, Eaton Corporation
said, “With this tie-up, we are planning to increase the availability of our
products throughout the country.”
Commenting on the reason for tying up with a national distributor, Gupta
said, “Our business has been expanding and we thought it was the right time to
sign up with a national distributor who could take our business to customers
through its large channel base and hence we initiated our relation with
Redington.”
When enquired about positioning of the brand in the market, he said, “A
couple of factors that will help us to gain a strong base in the market are the
better margins, profitability and reliability of our products.”
Sharing the channel appointment program, Anand Chakravarthy, Director,
Redington said, “Over the next six months we will appoint around 300 partners
and out of them we will develop a base of 40 exclusive partners who will target
the customers for high-end UPS solution.”
Redington will appoint partners from its existing channel base, and the
procedure for identifying them has already been started. The after-sales service
will be provided by Eaton through its nine service centers located across the
country. Redington and Eaton will jointly provide a training program followed by
a certification program for the channel.
