After
meeting
with success of the franchisee model for re-engineered and new
cartridges, Re-feel, a retail chain present in 70 cities in India,
recently entered the solutions segment announcing the introduction of
intelligent print services (IPS). In the initial stage, the company
will be targeting the SMB and SME segments. “IPS is a service that
can reduce the cost of office printing and copying, with enhanced
productivity at workplace and improved control over print
infrastructure,” said Alkesh Agarwal, CEO, Re-feel.

Agarwal
further added, “Re-feel has been the leader in print services in
India with a strong network of more than 110 locations. We look
forward to tap India's SME and large houses through our new age
IPS. Our proposition has the advantage to companies to shift from
capex to opex model and allowing their employees to be focused to
drive their core business.” According to the company, every IPS
implementation is tailor-made to customer's specific needs and
includes complete management of printers, copiers, multifunction
printers (MFPs), scanners and faxing along with on-time supply of
consumables, servicing and maintenance of machines, apart from
identification and provision of refilling and spares for toner.
Broadly, it is categorized under managed printing services.

This model
allow customers to enjoy substantial benefits from an early stage.
IPS is delivered in 3-step process after consulting with customer's
departmental heads and end-users,” said Agarwal. Discussing about
the steps involved in IPS, Agarwal explained that an early analysis
and consultation stage captures detailed information about the
existing equipment, print and copy volumes, costs, workflows and
users' needs, together with an analysis of customer's supply
base, support operation and security needs. Secondly, optimization
and improvement is done with cost analysis and usage with suitable
floor plan, identifying weak spots and where to get quick wins. From
this, Re-feel creates an implementation plan, which delivers maximum
benefit to each work group with minimum disruption.

Finally,
once the planned infrastructure is implemented, Re-feel moves into
the management and service phase, to ensure agreed service levels,
supporting work groups and review improvement in costs and
productivity, by comparing with the plan on a regular basis”
concluded Agarwal.
