Will conduct training programs in May

Rashi Peripherals, the sole distributor of the Compex range of
Wi-Fi products, is getting bullish in the upcountry market. It recently
concluded a series of training in A and B cities starting from Chennai,
Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi and concluding in Jaipur. In the next leg it
plans to focus on C and D cities, which will start in the month of May.

Sanjay Aggarwal, Business Manager, Rashi Peripherals, said;
"Right now we are focusing on educating the channels or SI’s in the
wireless field. Today wireless is the future and going by this, it has become
imperative that we educate them. Therefore, we have done a round of training
programs in A and B cities. And will be holding another round of such trainings
in

C and D cities in the month of May."

Accompanied by trainers from Compex, who have flown down from
Singapore, it has identified another 14 C and D cities to be covered in the
month of May, in 14 days. Out of the 14, Aggarwal said, 10 cities will be from
north and remaining in south.

He was thrilled at the response and reaction it generated.
"Our program had a retention of 98 to 99 percent, even though it started in
the early morning and ended in late evenings. The channels had innumerable
questions to ask and were very inquisitive."

At the moment Rashi is not really focusing on the eastern part.
Giving the reason Aggarwal added, "In the east there is just Kolkata and
Guwahati which are the major areas. Apart from these two there are none. So we
will not be focusing much on it for the moment."

Rashi is targeting basically the home segment, as their
requirements are basic. "We are not focusing on the corporates but the home
segment which has a broadband connectivity and a laptop," Aggarwal
informed.

Though the word Wi-Fi has become clichéd but still there is a
lack of knowledge about it. Confusion still persists about which standards have
been de-regulated and which all can be used both indoors and outdoors.

Aggarwal pointed out that though according to the Department of
Telecommunication both 801.11b and g has been de-regulated but most people don’t
know it. Then there is also the confusion of some states ask for the license and
some do not. To diffuse this dilemma, he informed, they will be meeting with the
officials of the department and request them to form a centralized policy.
