Rashi Peripherals Pvt Ltd has now planned to expand its Rashi Retail Program (RRP) to Kolkata from this month itself. Currently, it’s in talks with retailers in Kolkata. “Rashi is in the process of choosing the retail partners. We even have plans to kick off the RRP program in Delhi,” revealed Manish Aher, Manager (Retail Strategy),
Rashi.
He added, “Choosing the right store is important therefore this procedure takes time. In fact, there is one store identified called Harmony, which is a 50-year-old consumer electronics shop based at Kolkata. The RRP program has already been set in the Western and Southern region.”
In Chennai, a non-IT store called ‘Connections’ has already been appointed. The products to be sold will be the TV tuners, Sony and Microtek scanners.
Presently in Mumbai there are approximately 280 RRPs and out of these 50 to 55 percent are stationers and the rest comprise of IT retailers and consumable shops.
Rashi is presently pushing its Logitech range of products through retailing and will soon also market its Sony range of LCD monitors and Labtec range of products through the retail shops. Every week Rashi has been adding retail partners under the RRP program.
Rashi has still not finalized its talks with lifestyle stores as it plans to retail its product through these stores. “We are in talks with lifestyle stores having a national presence. This will be announced soon,” said
Aher.
