Raritan plans tech support center in India

Raritan Computer Inc, supplier of enterprise KVM (keyboard, video, mouse)
equipment and remote IT infrastructure management solutions, is looking at India
as a major partner for providing technical support call center for Raritan's
worldwide opera-tions. The company recently announced its entry into the Indian
market.

"India is emerging as a major outsourcing center for various activities
and Raritan is looking at India as its major center for providing technical
support for our 32 branches spread over 76 countries. The technical support
center call center will have multi-linguistic features to cater to the
custo-mers world over," said Sev Ony-shkevych, VP, global marketing,
Raritan Computer The tech support call center is expected to come up either in
first or second quarter for the year 2005. Raritan is also on the lookout for
outsourcing agen-cies in India, who can provide tech support in
multiple-languages for Raritan's 76-nation customer base.

Having around 200 corpo-rate as the main customers in India, Raritan has also
planned to establish a satellite office in Bangalore and Mumbai to support the
Raritan activities in these regions. "Besides, the software development
activi-ties of Raritan will be carried on in the Bangalore office,"
Onyshkevych added.

Raritan country manager Vinod Hingorani said that Raritan's India operation
would concentrate on improving the existing customer base, besi-des penetrating
to other verti-cals within the server market.

Further, the company also has plans to venture into multiple segments where
organization looks forward KVMs as their mainstream server.

With one major distributor and 35 resellers, Raritan would also add on to its
reseller base soon. "We are looking forward to exclusive resellers, who
would concentrate on selling Raritan as the main product and are still choosy in
picking up our partners in India", he added.

Adding on about the recent acquisition of Germany based Capricon,
manufacturer of small format digital technology servers, by Raritan Onysh-kevych
said, "Capricon acqui-sition has paved way for Raritan's entry into small
format digital server market. We look at acquisition for improving the strategic
ties in the market and not just for revenue".
