In their bid to tap the growing opportunities in the data center and
enterprise space, Raritan India has appointed Transition Systems as its national
value-added distributor. Transition will be responsible for furthering Raritan's
power management tools, including KVM switches.
Talking about the tie-up, Sanjay Motwani, Regional Manager-India and Middle
East, Raritan pointed, "We have identified power as one of the key areas for
expansion and will further power management tools for data center through
Transition Systems. The company shares an excellent relationship with both the
channel and end-customers, and has the ability to educate them about the
benefits of having effective power manage-ment tools. In addition, Transition's
capability to partner with select world-class manufacturers to source products,
coupled with the value-added services that it can offer, will provide Raritan an
opportunity to enhance our focus on data centers and enterprises."
While Raritan will continue to sell its IT infrastructure management
solutions through Delhi-based Iris Computers and the traditional channel,
Transition will serve as a value-added distributor and provide technical
expertise to resellers across the country in addition to handling pre-sales and
post-sales issues.
Commenting on the tie-up, R Unnikrishnan, Country Manager, Transition Systems
added, "We have a unique capability of harnessing the technical expertise of
partners in areas such as network infrastructure, wireless, security,
application bandwidth management and network performance analysis. We have
strong tie-ups with OEMs, system integrators and solution providers across the
country. Our association with Raritan will help us better focus on power
management tools provided by the latter."
Transition Systems has over 350 partners on board, including OEMs such as IBM
and HP.
